Frequently asked questions
FAQs
Q: Why do we overnight in Ollantaytambo on Day 2?
A: Ollantaytambo is where the main train station to Machu Picchu is located. Staying here allows for a more relaxed morning on Day 3, avoids the early drive from Cusco, and lets you experience this charming "Living Inca Town."
Q: What is the "Boleto Turístico" (BTC) and do I need to buy it?
A: The BTC is required for entry to most sites in the region (Sacsayhuaman, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, etc.). We can add it to your package price during booking, or your guide can assist you in purchasing it locally on Day 1. Note: Machu Picchu tickets ARE included separately.
Q: Which circuit will I visit in Machu Picchu?
A: We always aim for the most panoramic routes (typically Circuit 2). However, availability is extremely limited. If sold out, we will secure the best available alternative (Circuits 1 or 3) and confirm with you at the time of booking.
